The textbook is compiled in accordance with the working program of the discipline "Pathological Anatomy" in the specialty 31.05.01 General Medicine in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education (FSES VO) and is intended for the work of 3rd year students of the Faculty of General Medicine. The purpose of this study guide is to help students study the most important diseases of modern time. The manual describes the main definitions, classifications, causes, pathogenesis, pathological anatomy of atherosclerosis, hypertension, ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease. It also presents compensatory reorganisation of the heart in these diseases. A brief dictionary of common terms is given. The manual contains information aimed at developing students' clinical thinking, situational tasks, tests intended for self–control. The manual presents different points of view of researchers on some issues. The study guide is represented for General medicine faculty 3rd year students 31.05.01.
