We introduce you to the basics of legal regulation of offshore field development, key information about offshore oil and gas production in the world. We describe in detail the existing forms of surface and underwater offshore oil and gas structures. We present to your attention the basic principles of design, construction and operation of offshore facilities in the industry. We consider the working conditions of underwater pipelines, including on the example of implemented projects of the main gas pipelines «Turkish Stream», «Nord Stream – 1, 2». We analyze the problems of operation of offshore oil and gas facilities, as well as methods of their effective solution.
